1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of legal majority in your jurisdiction, to create an account. By signing up, you confirm that you meet this requirement and that the information you provide is accurate.

2. Your account

You're responsible for keeping your password and any API keys confidential, and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at support@bti.lk if you suspect unauthorized access. We may require email verification before an account can be used.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to use bti.lk to create or distribute links or QR codes that:

• Point to malware, phishing pages, or other harmful or deceptive content;
• Facilitate spam, unsolicited bulk messaging, or fraudulent schemes;
• Violate any applicable law, or infringe someone else's intellectual property or privacy rights;
• Contain or link to content that is illegal, defamatory, or sexually exploitative of minors.

We may disable or remove any link, QR code, or account that violates this policy, without prior notice, and may report illegal activity to the relevant authorities.

4. Plans, quotas & fair use

Each account is assigned a plan that determines its monthly limits for creating short links and QR codes. These limits reset on the 1st of each calendar month. Usage is counted at the moment a link or QR code is created and is not refunded or reset by deleting it afterward — repeatedly creating, using, and deleting resources to bypass your plan's limit is a violation of these terms and may result in account suspension.

Links and QR codes you've already created continue to work even if your plan is later downgraded or your subscription lapses — only your ability to create new links or QR codes is affected by your current plan.

5. Billing & plan changes

bti.lk does not currently process recurring card payments automatically. Plan upgrades, downgrades, and cancellations are arranged directly with our team — requests made from your dashboard are sent to support@bti.lk and confirmed with you by email before any change takes effect.

6. API & developer use

If you use our API, you're responsible for all requests made with your API key. Keys are scoped to your own account only, are shown once at creation, and can be revoked at any time from your dashboard — revoking a key immediately stops it from working. Automated use of the API must stay within your plan's quota and rate limits.

7. Intellectual property

bti.lk and its branding, design, and underlying software belong to us. You retain all rights to the destination URLs, labels, and content you submit through the Service — we don't claim ownership of it, and only use it to operate the redirect and analytics features you've requested.

8. Suspension & termination

We may suspend or terminate your account, with or without notice, if you violate these terms, misuse the Service, or if required by law. You may stop using the Service, or request deletion of your account, at any time by contacting support@bti.lk.

9. Service availability & disclaimers

We work to keep bti.lk reliable and fast, but the Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We don't guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or available at all times.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, bti.lk will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Service — including loss of data, revenue, or business opportunities.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We'll update the "Last updated" date above when we do; continuing to use bti.lk after a change means you accept the updated terms.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Sri Lanka, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
